Gnaviyani Atoll of the Maldives is a slightly skewed tear-shaped natural Atoll, covering a surface area of roughly 1160 km2. The outer perimeter of this Maldives Atoll contains a series of reefs; four large , extended reefs and another four smaller reefs peppered with deep passages and channels leading to a deep, inner lagoon. Depths inside the Atoll range between 5 - 70 meters, with an average depth of around 30 meters.
